Upcut spiral helps remove material from the groove. They work well for deep mortises, cutting dadoes in a router table and any edge treatment done with the work facing upward. Well, this kit is a great spiral starter kit. MLCS bits that I have to date have been excellent. I have used each of these bits for grooves and mortises on several projects now. No complaints and I would recommend.
Set arrived from Amazon fast, intact and complete. Bits cut very well, found out how fragile solid carbide in general really is. I goofed and broke the 1/4" diameter bit. That was my fault.
